Artificial Intelligence

You want to take advantage of all artificial intelligence has to offer to transform both your personal and professional lives and luckily we find ourselves in a transformative era where an increasingly high number of AI tools are popping up, giving us more chances to integrate AI into our daily lives. And the best part? Lots of them are free and quite easy to use, making their adoption simple.

The exact app that you should use will depend on your interests and needs, of course, but in this article, we’ll list eight of the best free AI apps that you should check out, in addition to a little bit of background surrounding AI apps and why they’re worth your time.

Ready to transform your AI journey? Let’s dive right in.

What Can AI Do For You?

By now you’re probably well-versed in the fact that artificial intelligence is everywhere. Like, everywhere. And there’s a reason for that: it’s an incredibly useful technology that has completely transformed a multitude of sectors and personal lives, bringing a higher understanding of users and their needs to companies worldwide.

You might think of fancy computers or even robots when you hear about artificial intelligence, and we get it: it’s so powerful, after all, that it seems like whatever is behind it must be large and intimidating. But the reality is that AI is everywhere and if we learn how to harness it, we can benefit from the following:

  • Advanced and instant recognition of patterns and trends: from fraud detection on your mobile banking apps to recommendations about the next show you should watch or song you should listen to, AI tools are able to analyze large amounts of data incredibly fast to identify patterns and trends–and things that don’t add up.

  • Virtual assistants and chatbots to help customer service efforts: the majority of queries have simple answers and when virtual assistants or chatbots are trained to handle general questions or concerns, it frees up the time for humans to focus on more demanding projects.

  • Language and transcription assistance: traveling and trying to understand a menu? Or need to view a podcast transcription to later turn it into written content? AI tools can both translate and transcribe for you, saving you tons of time.

We could go on and on because trust us, there are tons of applications of AI and as its use becomes more widely accepted (and even preferred), the tools out there will only continue to grow. That’s why we’ve collected eight of our favorite (and free!) AI apps that can help you work better, but not harder.

The Top 8 Free AI Apps

MyEdit

One of our favorites is MyEdit, which is known for its easy-to-use approach to generating, enhancing, and editing both audio and images. No matter what you’re looking to do, MyEdit offers extensive libraries and features that can be used for personal and professional matters alike. In addition, it can create captions and transcripts and even remove background sounds that hinder the audio’s quality.

With barely any learning curve but great output, MyEdit can be used by beginners and professionals for a wide range of applications.

JADBio

If you’re looking for a way to get your feet wet in machine learning and data analysis and don’t know where to start, JADBio may be the perfect fit. This free tool requires little coding knowledge to create your own machine learning models for a wide range of cases, JADBio introduces users to data analysis and machine learning with its data extraction tools.

Jasper

Able to create SEO-optimized content for a wide range of needs and help companies create the best possible copy for their campaigns, Jasper is a great option for those looking to not only create content, but also track their performance and suggest improvements. Jasper includes images, videos, keywords, CTAs, and links in their content and even possesses the ability to cite sources and has an anti-plagiarism tool.

For companies that can’t dedicate too much time to content creation or copywriting, Jasper is a solid alternative and is easy to learn.

Otter.ai

Sick of note-taking in long meetings or waiting for faulty transcriptions to be ready? With Otter.ai, you can say goodbye to both. Otter.ai can record the meeting, take notes, create a summary, and produce a transcript of the entire meeting, which makes it easier to send notes to the rest of the team.

Otter.ai’s free version is limited in how long it can record and how many words it can transcribe, but give it a try and if it’s something that works for you, the paid tool is definitely a great option.

ChatGPT

We had to mention ChatGPT, of course! Revolutionary in its role in bringing artificial intelligence technology to the hands of everyday people, ChatGPT wowed many people with its ability to generate large amounts of text in a few seconds, translate articles, tell jokes, or inform the user about the best code process to use in their next project. And although ChatGPT has a long way to go to be fully trusted and issues have arisen about its output, it’s a great way for new AI users to become familiar with how to use it.

New iterations of ChatGPT require subscriptions to be used fully, but even older versions of the tool are useful.

Google AI

Another big name in AI tools, Google AI is an incredible resource for those interested in the research and development of AI tools, providing users with tons of resources and tools surrounding the research part of the AI field. Free to use, it provides users with access to the newest and most revolutionary AI tools in a wide range of industries, helping those who are interested in the field have a free and accessible way to learn more.

Zapier

One of the most well-known and useful applications of artificial intelligence is its ability to automate tasks and Zapier is one of the best free tools to automate repetitive tasks without needing advanced coding knowledge to create automated workflows. And as you continue to use Zapier, you will benefit from personalized recommendations on how to further automate and optimize your workflow.

GitHub Copilot

GitHub’s Copilot is a tool that assists developers with their coding process, using natural language processing to suggest the next line of code or improvements as the developer writes. Right now, Copilot supports various programming languages, but will continue to offer more as it receives more and more data.

Copilot is free for students, teachers, and those who work on specific open source projects; other developers, however, can use a 30-day free trial to see if it’s a good fit before committing to a subscription.

As you can see, there are quite a few free AI tools out there that can help you take advantage of the potential of AI to transform your day-to-day life, no matter what your needs are or your sector. And as artificial intelligence continues to develop and become better and more effective, keep your eyes peeled for even more apps emerging that could be of use.
